A committed entrepreneur, François Asselin has been leading Asselin SAS since 1993, a company specializing in timber framing, carpentry, fine woodworking, and artistic ironwork. Under his leadership, the company has become a key player in heritage restoration, contributing to major projects such as the reconstruction of L’Hermione and the restoration of Notre-Dame’s spire.
Deeply involved in advocating for businesses, he has long championed small and medium-sized enterprises. He previously served as President of the French Building Federation (Deux-Sèvres) and the CGPME Poitou-Charentes before being elected President of the CPME in 2015, a position he held until 2025. He is also a member of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council and serves on the Board of Directors of BTP Banque.
Recognized for his dedication to businesses and French craftsmanship, he has been honored as an Officer of Arts and Letters, Officer of the National Order of Merit, and Officer of the Legion of Honor.
